The Company

With revenues worth of $1.5 Billion my client is a global leader in their field. Recently making Dubai as their hub for the Middle East & India region my client is now looking to recruit a Financial Controller.

The Role

Managing the Finance operations of the Middle East and its area of coverage, ensuring that the results are on track as well as working capital control. Financial accounting, controlling and reporting as well as the budgeting and Capex approval process are also key functions, participating to the pertinent meetings to obtain the needed information and make the necessary controls. Assure managing of banking operations and manage foreign currency transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Accounting, P&L Control , business profitability, working capital and operating cash flow of the Middle East area through existing/new controlling tools, package & operations meeting, follow-up meetings and discussion with commercial management
  • Make sure that monthly financial reports (including monthly analysis) will be prepared accurate and on timely manner through follow-up of the main tasks with involved departments/functions
  • Manage the whole budgeting process through organization of the process, create and follow-up budget targets and challenge the packages, in coordination with the corporate requirements
  • Support the management team with different analysis to enhance the business management through economical evaluations, discussions about assumptions and providing necessary business/economic analysis
  • Control of capex projects through analysis/review of capex requests and follow-up review
  • Supervision of Day to Day Banking activities; ensure compliance with group treasury guidelines
  • Ensure working capital goals for Accounts Receivables and Payables
  • Establish the link with the Legal Department in order to assist the sales managers with contracts.
  • Ensure compliance to all Financial & Legal standards
  • Develop financial engineering for complex markets
  • Control of commissions payment
  • Supervision of receivables and control the overdue

Candidate Requirements

  • Relevant financial accounting qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in similar level role Good knowledge of accounting
  • (Local GAAP and IFRS)
  • Experience in Treasury Operations
  • Excellent knowledge in MS-Office applications (Excel and PowerPoint), SAP R/3 CO/FI and BI systems
